Erik Deutsch (ExcelPR Group) will be moderating this panel.

Joining on this panel is Joelen Tan (What's Cooking Chicago and co-produce of TECHmunch Chicago) and Beth Rosen (4 Keys Media) will be sharing tips as well as more bloggers to be announced.

How to take great food photosEvi Abeler, NYC food photographer, will be joining us live via Google Hangout in a great presentation on how to take better food photos. She'll talk about lighting, composition, tools of the trade and even answer your questions live.
      • 12:05 pm - 12:15 pmThe Next Generation: DIY Digital Publishing (ebooks & apps) Thinking about publishing your own cookbook? Looking for ways to monetize your existing content? Dabbling in ebook and app publishing? Let us introduce you to CookbookCafe.com, the first digital publishing platform that allows anyone to publish a web-based ebook and iPad app for free and sell it in their marketplace. This presentation will highlight the platform's features such as creating a crowdsourced cookbook and remixing your recipes and videos into interactive cookbooks without the need to hire a designer or book/app developer.
      • 12:15 pm - 12:30 pmCommunity Intros - it's all about you! Before lunch, we will have our guests (you) introduce yourselves and share your blog so we can all follow you and learn more about what you're doing.
      • 12:30 pm - 2:00 pmLunch & NetworkingBoxed lunch will be provided to all attendees. There will be a 45 minute open layout at lunch for you to meet other bloggers, grab your lunch and check out the amazing city views through giant floor-to-ceiling windows at Gleacher Center. Midway through lunch (after 45 minutes), we will provide another 45 minutes to network based on community topics. Each table will have a new topic to discuss as well as some tables will have a pro to answer your questions. These tables are meant as conversation starters and will allow you to get answers that mean something to your blog. You will be allowed to move about the room throughout the entire 45 minute time so that you can bounce from one table to the next and soak in the education. If you discover you're on a table with a topic you know about... feel free to jump in and offer some sage advice too! This is a community table - all are invited to participate.
      • 2:15 pm - 3:00 pmHow to Leverage Social MediaYou produce great content. You take great photos. You have social accounts on all the important sites... but you just can't seem to go viral. We've tapped into some of the brightest Chicago social media experts on Twitter and Pinterest and asked them to join us and share some tips on how to leverage these social media sites. Joining us will be Steve Green (FoodieChats.com), Cait Weingartner (prettyandfun.com) and Scott Norton (SirKensingtons.com). Steve runs the largest weekly food chat called #FoodieChats, Cait has over 46K followers on Pinterest and Scott's company is killing it on Instagram. Together they will walk us through the platforms, give us tips on when, how and what to post as well as how to maintain traction.

Join us for a lively discussion on monetization with Desiree Smith (Wilton), Maris Callahan (Food PR pro), Babette Pepaj (Founder, BakeSpace.com) and Erik Deutsch (ExcelPR Group).
      • 4:15 pm - 5:00 pmSummer Wine Pairings Workshop & Tasting Sponsored by Columbia CrestWho doesn't like a great glass of wine? But did you know that wine-pairing options are a great way to capture blog traffic? But if you're like us, then you might be confused by what wine goes with what and how do you tap into the passionate wine lover to drive more traffic to your blog? Joining us will be Chef John Sarich, the Culinary Director at Ste. Michelle Estates/Columbia Crest. Chef John will walk us through some the basic principals of wine pairings by guiding us through a delicious tasting to round out our day. In addition, Columbia Crest will be sharing their "wine cheat sheet" with attendees so when you go home, you'll be ready to pair wines on your next blog post. Your tasting will pair Columbia Crest with several Wolfgang Puck appetizers.
